Our Philosophy
Co-operative housing is a great alternative to the uncertainty of rental
markets or paying expensive mortgages. As a member you have a democratic
voice in controlling the cost and operation of the housing community.
The philosophy behind a cohousing co-op is that residents are members who share in the ownership of the entire complex. This means sharing in the responsibility for the administration,
care and management of the co-operative.
In embracing this philosophy we expect each adult member of our co-op to participate in maintaining our community. This can mean volunteering on committees, participating in cleaning and maintenance duties, or volunteering your skills to help out your neighbours. co-ops are volunteer run and rely on like-minded individuals to keep our community thriving.
